I always consider my dog to be my valentine. With all the unconditional love they give it’s kind of hard not to. So why not show them you care by making them their own special treat! This recipe is easy and there are several substitutions that can be made to fit any dog’s taste buds!
Pupcakes
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a medium bowl combine all of your wet ingredients except your fruit and whisk them together until evenly combined.
Next, place your fruit of choice in a blender with a few tablespoons of water and blend until smooth. Add most of the mixture to the bowl, but save a little on the side for a fruit drizzle once they’re finished. Combine the fruit mixture in with the rest of the wet ingredients.
Once combined, slowly add in your flour and baking powder a little at a time, mixing in between.
Then, take either a silicone mold or a lined cupcake tray and evenly distribute the batter.
After you have your mixture in the mold, pop the tray in the oven for 15-20 mins. If you are using a silicone mold you may need to leave in a little longer since it doesn’t heat up as fast.
When they’re all done, take them out of the oven and let them cool. Once cool, you can give them as is or you can add your leftover fruit blend as a quick fruit drizzle for a little extra flavor!
Your pups are going to absolutely love these treats! I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s Day! Sending out all the love and hugs!! Be sure to check out our other tasty recipes. We love seeing your creations so tag us using #dogsdontwearpantsblog!
